Sustainable craftsmanship for the kitchen of tomorrow
Combining tradition and the avant-garde to create art from the finest raw materials. This is the goal of the kitchens of the best chefs… and of artisan workshops like Atalanta. This shared mission facilitates collaboration between chefs and wood artisans to design pieces and kitchenware that pair perfectly with the most exquisite dishes. At Atalanta, we have the pleasure of working with some of the most innovative chefs in today’s cuisine to help transform their restaurants into authentic temples of gastronomy where every detail is taken care of down to the last millimeter.
LA SALITA | Valencia
Striking, simple and timeless pieces to enhance the exuberance of the most colourful and surprising menus. At the Atalanta workshop, we create versatile tableware combining multiple techniques and types of wood to adorn the tables at La Salita, a new Michelin-starred restaurant in Valencia, where chef Begoña Rodrigo creates unique experiences for food lovers.
RODOLFUS | A Coruña
Life is an endless tasting experience, especially when it comes to food. All of us who are curious are eager to discover new flavours and aromas. Fortunately, there are places like Rodolfus, a shop that sells local products and a tasting space where Atalanta’s plates, trays, and bowls are filled with authentic delicacies.
SÁBREGO | Ribadavia
In a restaurant like Sábrego, linked to one of the great Ribeiro wineries, Casal de Armán, the way wine bottles are served is essential. At Atalanta, we designed customised plates to hold the wine bottles, as well as a QR code to link to the menu and a cork rest to ensure that the wine-drinking experience is delicate and harmonious.
CASA SOLLA | Poio
Streamlining the plating process by going directly from the stove to the table. This is what chef Pepe Solla and his team were able to do by using Atalanta’s Aire plates, thanks to the fact that they are suitable for food use. Like Casa Solla, a Michelin-starred restaurant that is a benchmark in the fusion of traditional cuisine and innovative techniques, our dishes reflect the tradition of Galician craftsmanship and infuse it with the elegant aesthetics of the best contemporary design.
CULUCA COCIÑA BAR | A Coruña
Not all dishes are the best container for a culinary creation. Chefs know this better than anyone. That’s why, before sculpting wood, it is necessary to listen to the person who is going to cook. This is how we worked with the Culuca team to design the Mar dish, a perfect container for the overflowing creaminess of the Betanzos tortilla, a true jewel of traditional gastronomy.
NANA PANCHA TAQUERÍA | A Coruña
Mexico is flavor and color. Both Mexican cuisine and Mexican handicrafts stand out for the chromatic intensity of their creations. What better way to present 100% Mexican menus than with brightly colored tableware? At the Atalanta workshop, we sculpt orange, green and aubergine wooden plates to help the Nana Pancha taqueria recreate the soul of Mexico in every detail.
BOKETÉ Catering & Wedding | A Coruña
Creating unique spaces in which to be seduced by the finest gastronomic delights and celebrate the most beautiful moments in life. This is the mission of Boketé, a catering service that takes care of even the smallest detail of its creations. Chef Javier Rodríguez Ponte “Taky” devised a project designed to bring Galician cuisine to every corner. We, the craftswomen of Atalanta, put our knowledge and experience to use to create delicate and lightweight tableware that adapts to the needs of a catering service.
O LAGAR DA ESTRELLA | A Coruña
A gastronomic experience is not only made up of the delicacies prepared by the chefs, but everything that surrounds them is important and must be up to scratch. To help the professionals at O Lagar da Estrella conquer all their customers’ senses, at Atalanta, we produce such special pieces as tasting boards, cutlery rests, storybooks and dessert plates. The beauty of wood elegantly envelops the most sublime seasonal products.
FIRE CAPITANO | A Coruña
Versatility, personality and elegance. These are the three characteristics of the tasting boards that we made in the Atalanta workshop for Fire Capitano, a restaurant that transports us to the landscapes of Tuscany and the flavors of Naples. Thus, the wood is transformed into the ideal setting to serve a wide variety of dishes ranging from the most delicious breakfasts to the most delicate dinners.
BIDO | A Coruña
Wood is an essential product for people. That is why the same tree can have multiple names. This is the case with the birch tree, which in Galician is known as biduieiro but also as bido. Well, we have brought the wood from this tree to the tables of a restaurant named in its honor. Thus, we shaped the ideas of chef Juan Crujeiras to create Aire dishes that house the delicious creations of BIDO.
O BALADO DE MARTA E ROBERTO | Boqueixón
Sustainability, zero-kilometer products and craftsmanship. These are the pillars on which the philosophy of O Balado de Marta e Roberto is based, a gastronomic project located just 12 km from the Atalanta workshop. Based on the values we share, we designed a range in which local wood is the real protagonist: square plates that combine traditional and contemporary designs, bowls, and tasting boards… One of the virtues of wood is that it gives us a very comforting feeling of home. Exactly like this farmhouse.
VENECIA CAFÉ | Santiago de Compostela
Small and surprising plates for the sponge cake, boards designed specifically for serving callos, one of the highlights of Galician cuisine, plates for toasts… These pieces and many others are part of the tableware we made in Atalanta for Venecia Café. A set of creations that fuse functionality and aesthetics to help barista Óscar de Toro and his team win the hearts and senses of their customers.
A CASA DOS XACOBES | Santiago de Compostela
Bringing the blue of the Galician estuaries to the tables of a restaurant that values traditional gastronomy and local products. This was the objective of the project we carried out together with María José Ramil and her son: two generations united by their love of cooking. We designed colorful dishes in keeping with the aesthetics of A Casa dos Xacobes that would serve to make the delicatessen items created by the chefs shine.
SAN COFFEE | Vigo
Elegant shapes, elaborate finishes and the naked beauty of wood. This is what the tasting boards that we at Atalanta designed for San Coffee are like: a project focused on exploring the aromas and flavors of coffee and offering succulent breakfasts, brunches and snacks. What better setting for these delicacies than wood?
